Schools Recognised for Commitment to PE and Sport

Partnership Manager, Cath Heron said, “The number of schools that gained an award has risen since last year. Schools achieving the coveted Gold award demonstrate a whole school approach to PE and sport, they have the wholehearted support from their headteacher and provide opportunities for all pupils at all levels. As well as this they are a community hub for sport, encouraging involvement from parents and community groups. It’s great to see more schools being recognised and rewarded for their hard work and commitment to provide the very best opportunities for their pupils, it is a fantastic achievement. I’m hoping that those schools who gained a Bronze award with further support and encouragement can go on and achieve a higher award next year.”

The School Games Mark is a Government led awards scheme where schools can gain a bronze, silver or gold level award. The following schools in Cambridge have achieved an award in 2015-16 and will be presented with their certificates and pennants in the coming weeks, congratulations to all of them on their hard work and excellent provision.
