This event replaces the Cambridge Youth Games as we continue to encourage, inspire and motivate children to take part in a range of new and different sports and activities whilst raising awareness of The Spirit of the Games Values.
The event is delivered on the day by 120 sports leaders from across the Partnerships secondary schools. There are a wide range of Olympic and Paralympic themed activities for the children to have a go at.
The Partnerships Sport For All Event is for all year 3 & 4 pupils.
Fun –this is what the day is all about! We want all of the children involved to enjoy their day and leave having had the most positive experience they can. The day is all about having a go at lots of different and often new, activities and just doing your best – so please make sure children are aware of this. There will be no winners or losers just lots of smiling faces we hope. We will be giving each teacher a set of Spirit of the Games certificates and stickers to award to those children in their group who they think have best displayed the values of honesty, teamwork, determination, passion, self belief and respect.
How to book on – We will e-mail all schools in the Autumn term asking if you would like to attend this event when e-mailing we will also be requesting the number of Year 3/4 pupils you will have attending and what size t-shirts you would like for them. There will be a charge of £2.00 per child for all schools to cover the costs of the T-shirts.
More information will follow closer to the event but it is important that you book your transport for this event early.
If for any reason we have to cancel this event we are unable to cover the costs of any cancellation fees you as a school may incur. Unfortunately due to the size of this event we are unable to offer a reserve date.
