Year 3/4 Key Step Gymnastics Competition

DUE TO COVID 19 WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION NOT TO OPEN THE SPRING TERM COMPETITIONS UNTIL DECEMBER. THE SPRING/SUMMER DATES MAY CHANGE, THIS WILL BE CONFIRMED WHEN BOOKING HAS OPENED.
BOOKING FOR THIS COMPETITION WILL OPEN ON TUESDAY 1st DECEMBER.
This event is part of the School Games programme and is open to all schools in Cambridge SSP with the top two placed schools qualifying to represent the Partnership at the County School Games Spring Festival TBC.
- 6 pupils per team
- mixed teams (minimum of 1 boy/girl per team)
- aimed at children new to gymnastics rather than club gymnasts
All children compete in two elements:
- a vault which is performed twice, with the best score counting
- a floor or body management routine with 10 prescribed elements
Entries CANNOT include children who attend TWO or more hours of community club gymnastics.
Trained sports leaders will judge the event, handing out marks out of 10 for each element.

Further information on this event will be issued nearer the time but schools are encouraged to enter early.
Maximum teams per school: 2
Maximum entries available: 16 teams
Deadline for entries: Wednesday 6th January
Schools will be emailed a minimum of 28 days before each competition to reconfirm their entry and the number of teams entered. Following this further spaces may become available allowing any schools still on the waiting list to take part.
Final Information on all competitions will be emailed out 7 days beforehand and orders of play etc will the be created and all paperwork completed for the event. If for any reason a school is unable to attend after confirming their entry they should give as much notice as possible to the competition organiser. Late withdrawal from a competition with less than 7 days notice will incur an administration fee of £25.
