This was the first time the U14 Boys and U14 Girls County Schools Basketball Competition had taken place in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and are part of a national England Basketball pathway. As a result of collaborative work carried out by Youth Sports Trust, National Governing Bodies and Schools, competition structures nationally are bring aligned with the National Competition Framework, providing pathways from local to national competitions, raising the awareness of School Sport and Competition.
In the Girls competition, St Bedes won their semi-final match against Witchford College 17-7. In the other semi-final, Hinchingrbrooke played hosts to Bushfield in a dramatic encounter.
