What is the Dance Champions Directory?
An online tool that any organisation or individual that is involved in the delivery of dance can use to promote their existing dancing opportunities.
What opportunities can be promoted?
All and any activities that are related to dance can be promoted on the site. The site will cater for all dancing styles and all methods of delivery.
Who will look at the directory?
Extensive PR and partnership working will continue to be carried out to signpost individuals from all demographic groups and ability levels to the website where they can learn about local opportunities. The Dance Champions – a group of celebrities and industry experts passionate about dance – are championing dance for all.
How much will it cost?
There is no cost involved; use of the site is free to all.
Why is this directory any different to others?
Investment has been put into developing a nationwide dance website that caters for the specific needs of dance related activities.
The directory will give users the opportunity to search for a specific style of dance, which suits their experience, fitness levels and time allowances. They will be able to find an activity which caters for their transport, child care and accessibility needs and is costed at a price that is affordable to them.
Dance deliverers will be able to personalise their own profiles with text, pictures, video and news updates allowing effective and appropriate promotion of what they offer.
What else might I need to know?
The Directory will be linked to a number of other sports, arts and health directories preventing replication.
A Dance Directory search wigit will be available for organisations to put on their websites and link straight to the search activities on the Dance Champions website.
How can I register on the site?
Go to www.dancechampions.org where up until 1st July 2010 you will be able to register via the temporary site. After this you can register on the new look site at any time.
