Netherhall Leadership Pathway

The Netherhall School, Cambridge, a Specialist Sports College, has been working closely with one of it's partner primary schools, Colville in the development of an extensive Leadership Pathway that allows students to access leadership opportunities from Year 1 through to Year 13.
Colville, with the support of Netherhall, have developed a Primary Leadership Award, with students able to undertake a range of leadership roles in the classroom, in assembly, in the playground and in PE lessons, as they try to gain their Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards. The Awards are highly achievable with Bronze designed for KS1 and Silver and Gold for Years 3 and 4 resepctively. The second part of the pathway involved Year 5 and 6 students undertaking the Young Leaders Award and using their newly developed skills to lead in the playground for younger pupils.
When these students then arrive at Netherhall they undertake the Netherhall KS3 Leadership Award within their PE lessons. Again they can attain a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award throughout the three years in KS3. These awards prepare them for a number of leadership awards available in Year 10 including Level 1 Sports Leaders, Level 1 Dance Leaders, Level 1 CYQ Fitness Instructors and the Language Leaders Award. In Sixth Form the Level 2 Community Sport and Level 3 Higher Sport Award are also offered.

 

Netherhall Leadership Pathway
Netherhall has been working in partnership with Colville Primary School to develop a Leadership Pathway from Year 1 to Year 13.

Year 4 Athletics
Netherhall Sports Leaders have been going into local primary schools to test Year 4 students in a range of athletic activities.

Dance Festival Success!
Netherhall hosted its annual Year 4 Dance Festival on 24th November 2009 with over 150 students taking part.
