Event Details: Cambridgeshire Local Authority and Health Matters Education are planning a Health Matters Workshop/CPD Event. The Workshop will be showcasing ideas for a more active and creative EYFS andn KS1/KS2 curriculum.

Health Matters Education supports the idea of a flexible, creative and active Early Years Foundation Stage and KS1/KS2 curriculum through its cross curricular approach to health and fitness. Our range of high quality teaching resources offer a whole school approach and have been designed for school staff to deliver with confidence. They are user friendly, fun, easy to use and accessible and support many of the national Government agendas that are facing schools and Early Years settings currently in terms of increasing levels of physical activity and the Health agenda.

Year 5/6 Quicksticks Competition

Target Group: Year 5/6 pupils in schools within the Cambridge Partnership  |  Type of Event: Quicksticks Competition

Event Details: The competition is for all schools in the Cambridge Partnership and targets pupils of all abilities.

The festival format will be a Round Robin Quicksticks format, the exact competition format will be sent out once all entries have been received.

There is space for 30 teams to enter - these will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.

Girls Golf Junior Spring Meeting

Event Details: The Cambs and Hungs County Golf Association have extended an invitation all girls. This event is suitable for girls with handicaps or without, those who are learning or beginners keen to learn.

The days events include:

* Coaching
* Putting and skills competition
* Lunch
* Playing on the par 3 course for beginners
* Playing a 9 hole Stableford for the improvers
* Playing an 18 hole medal for the more experienced players who will be challenging for the NEW Lesley Ford Trophy for the best nett score
* Lots of prizes to be won
* Clubs canbr pvoided, but better to bring your own.

Entrance fee is £5.00

Gymnastics Competition 2010

Event Details: Cambridge SSP will be holding the first ever Partnership Gymnastics Competition, at Morley Memorial Primary School.

This event is being run by El Speciani, PLT at Morley, in conjunction with our Gymnastics Coach, Viki Markovics and supported by the County British Gymnastics Development Officer. All schools that choose to enter the event will receive a free British Gymnastics Competition resource pack, which is an excellent general resource for teachers, particularly in relation to Condition Phrases and Skill Development.

The event is open to pupils in Yrs 3&4 and 5&6 regardless of their gymnastics experience. It will be run in the form of a display, but pupils will have the choice to enter the competition element or simply perform as part of the Display.

Pupils participating will be asked to perform a compulsory element taken from the Competition Pack relevant to their age and experience, and a freestyle routine.
